1. Sanoma Websites

This document refers to the digital resources made available on Sanoma’s websites and/or platforms, including software, content, apps, and other digital products or services.
 
2. Ownership of Sanoma Website Materials
Sanoma’s websites and/or platforms contain information, text, software, photos, videos, graphics, music, audio, editorial content, and other material (“Materials”) protected by copyright, trademarks, patents, and other intellectual property rights (“Intellectual Property Rights”). Any and all rights, title, and interest in and to these Materials and Intellectual Property Rights belong solely and exclusively to Sanoma or its licensors and suppliers.
 
3. Use of Materials 

3.1. Permitted Uses of the Materials. Sanoma authorizes users to view and, if these functions are directly available (via “print”/“download” buttons or links), to download (i.e., make a local copy on the user’s device) and print the Materials, solely for personal and educational, non-commercial purposes. 

3.2. Uses for Non-Commercial Educational Purposes. It is permissible, on an occasional and non-systematic basis, to include limited portions of the Materials in papers, reports, and presentations, and only to the extent allowed for educational and non-commercial purposes, provided doing so does not compete with the pedagogical or commercial value of those Materials. In all cases, the user must include the trademarks and notices present on Sanoma’s websites and/or platforms, and must give proper attribution to the authors/curators/translators and the source of the Materials (indicating “© Sanoma Italia – https://sanomaitalia.it”). 

3.3. Prohibited Uses of the Materials. Except as expressly permitted by Sanoma, it is not permitted to use, modify, adapt, reformat, download, upload, reproduce, transmit, publish, display, perform, transfer, or redistribute the Materials in any form, format, or medium, or by any technology, without prior written permission from Sanoma and any other holders of intellectual property rights in such Materials.
 It is not permitted to reproduce, use, sell, transmit, publish, send, or in any way disclose or distribute the Materials to anyone, including users belonging to the same company, school, institution, or organization, whether or not a fee or any other compensation is involved, including use with or within “course packages” or courses. 

 Except as expressly permitted by Sanoma in the licenses for access to specific services/content, it is not allowed to publish the Materials within newsgroups, distribution lists, electronic bulletin boards, educational websites, content aggregators, file-hosting services, or any other online destination.
 Sanoma’s websites and/or platforms related to mathematics learning may contain features that allow the user to obtain a document of a completed exercise; the features directly provided may allow for the creation of a PDF copy of the completed exercise, which the user, via the same website and/or platform functions, can download and store on their device (digital copy), print, and keep on paper (printed copy); the user can also email or share a link to the completed exercise on the web.
 It is not permitted to reproduce illustrations, charts, photographs, diagrams, portions of text, chapters, or e-books included in the Materials. 

3.3 bis. It is strictly forbidden to use any automated means (including “robots,” “spiders,” “scrapers,” and “offline reading” software) to collect, read, or create derivative works from Sanoma’s services and content (or any portion thereof). This prohibition includes, without limitation, purposes of text and data mining, machine learning, artificial intelligence development, algorithm training or updating, or making services and content available to the public without prior written consent from Sanoma. Furthermore, uploading Sanoma’s content into AI-based or other tools or services that reserve the right to use the uploaded content for their own or third-party use—such as for training and developing tools—is prohibited. Sanoma’s services and content may not be used in any of the ways described above or otherwise to provide commercial or non-commercial services, such as generative AI, without prior written consent from Sanoma. 

3.4. Requesting Permissions. If you wish to request permission to reproduce the Materials for purposes other than the expressly authorized educational ones, or if you have questions about how to include the notices specified in section 3.2 correctly, you may send an email to info.italia@sanoma.com to contact the appropriate Sanoma representative.
 
Availability of the Website and Materials
 Sanoma may modify or discontinue any part, feature, or content of its websites and/or platforms at any time, with or without notice to the user; however, Sanoma will, whenever possible, notify users of significant changes to its websites and/or platforms and provide alternative materials if substantial portions of content or functionality are removed.
 
Links to Third-Party Sites and Content
 Sanoma assumes no responsibility for Materials posted by third parties on its websites and/or platforms or accessible via hyperlinks or other digital “links” to third-party sites not directly controlled by Sanoma (“Third-Party Site”). Sanoma does not endorse products, services, or information provided by those third parties, nor does it assume any direct or indirect liability for any damage or loss actually or allegedly caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on third-party content, goods, or services available through third parties or otherwise posted by third parties on Sanoma’s websites and/or platforms. Likewise, the inclusion of links to third-party sites on Sanoma’s websites and/or platforms does not imply that those site owners have given permission for such inclusion, nor that they sponsor or support Sanoma’s websites and/or platforms. Sanoma is not responsible for the accessibility of third-party sites opened via links on its own websites and/or platforms. If a link to a third-party site is invalid, no longer connected to the content indicated on Sanoma’s websites and/or platforms, or connected to inappropriate content, the user may contact Sanoma’s Technical Support team.
